Fire Chief, Jeff Hilton Awarded First Responder Hero

Wettermark Keith First Responder Hero Award Logo

We had the privilege of awarding Fire Chief, Jeff Hilton the Wettermark Keith First Responder award this month. In addition to being Fire Chief at the Warrior Fire Department, Jeff also serves as a firefighter for the city of Hoover. Jeff began his career in the fire service at the age of 17, by volunteering at Concord Fire Department. After completing high school, Jeff became a firefighter/paramedic.  Ge was hired in the Hoover Fire Department in 2007 and started working part-time at Warrior fire in 2010, as a firefighter/paramedic.

Jeff is very knowledgable about his jobs and cares deeply for his community. Jeff was able to get the idea of adding a transport service to the fire department by the city council in 2015.  This transport service expanded and is currently being requested by neighboring fire departments. Jeff has worked a lot of different events, including the 1998 F5 tornado, saving gunshot victims, and has even delivered (nine) babies into this world. When Jeff is not on the job he is spending time with his lovely wife Melissa and their six children. We are grateful we had the opportunity to meet Fire Chief, Jeff Hilton. He is a truly deserving recipient of our First Responder Hero Award.
